This page is for discussing the contents of Front Page.
The "need help?" box could be really tricked out if we used tableclass and added something to the CSS for that table.
From a pragmatic perspective, I think most of the content and purpose of this wiki should be moved to the hub, which is currently not so active that it would be a burden. Evidence: number of people watching this wiki — 13. Number watching the hub — 381. In particular: requests for help (logos, design, discussions), templates.

The idea is to build a community focused on gnoming here to keep the Wiki Spot hub more focused on the actual wikis. Of course you are certainly right, there is quite a bit of overlap and it makes sense to have some content reproduced or moved back and forth. In my mind the Wiki Spot hub is focused on Wiki Spot issues and services, while this wiki aims at the slightly more meta topic of general content and community cultivation. Now, of course that's all high minded "aims" and "focus" talk. In reality, the GnomeHQ is hung in the same "only a few active editors" situation that many other Wiki Spot wikis are in. That could certainly indicate that it should be "folded in", but so could many of the other smaller wikis. I'm not saying that it should or shouldn't be, but I do like the idea of a focused, more gnome specific community that doesn't overwhelm the hub. Right now it does makes sense for it to be folded in. I'd hope that — given time — it will grow into an active wiki community with a specific focus. Of course, that may not happen, but that's true with the
Woodland Wiki as well. Folding that into Davis Wiki makes sense right now. I'd like to see both GnomeHQ and Woodland Wiki float out there with their own focus and some overlap and hopefully get a community going. —jw
