Growing a wiki is akin to being part of a family. You don't get to choose who you are with, but you have to get along. Hopefully, you'll even all work together. Build the right community, and the content will almost magically appear. Content, however, does not always build community. Here are some ideas and concepts about growing a community.
Editors should feel empowered, committed and invested in their wiki. A flat structure of editors with equal rights regarding content, Creative Commons so that no individual or small group has ownership of the content and an active dialog between editors are mechanisms that work well to maintain these three key factors.
